Procedure
- 1 Add water to main beaker with propellor mixing and begin heating to 70C. Slowly sprinkle Carbopol Ultrez 30 and allow to hydrate. Once hydrated, slowly sprinkle Ultrathix 20 polymer and allow to hydrate. Add remaining Phase A ingredients one at a time.
- 2 Combine Phase B in separate beaker and begin heating to 70C. Once both reach 70C, add Phase B into Phase A and hold with propellor mixing for 5 minutes. Homogenize at 3500 rpm for 30s/100g. Add Phase C under homogenizer.
- 3 Once homogenous, bring to side sweep mixing to continue cooling.
- 4 Add Phase D under 40C and adjust pH to 5.5 – 6 with 20% NaOH
