Utilise Struksilon 8030 from Schill & Seilacher for rigid PU foams with excellent insulation values
Struksilon 8030 from Schill and Seilacher is a universal stabiliser for the production of polyurethane rigid foams. Struksilon 8030 is a polyether modified polydimethyl siloxane resistant to hydrolysis which has excellent flow properties.
Due to the very good insulation values that can be achieved when Stuksilon 8030 is utilised it is especially recommended for pentane blown systems, but also for partly water blown systems. Traditionally 141 b blown formulation can be also provided.
In appliance applications, pipe insulation and the product of PUR panels good results can be archived. In all cases, formulations have to be checked concerning compatability.
Struksilon 8030 is a clear, colourless to slightly yellow liquid of middle viscosity which has strong stabiliser properties and is miscible with water at room temperation. Due to the negligible content of hydroxyl or other groups reactive towards isocyanates, Struksilon 8030 is inert in polyurethane formulations and can be easily added in to the ISO phase and guarantees a long term stability in such a pre-blend. This is an advantage in up-mixtures based on the 4th generation blowing agents.
