Emulsifiers

Improving topical drug delivery

Alfa’s partner, Gattefossé, provides innovative, safe and cost effective excipients for the development creams, lotions, gels and microemulsions.

These excipients help combine pharmaceutical quality, therapeutic efficacy and consumer acceptability into distinct topical formulations designed to:

  • Improve drug delivery
  • Emulsify poorly soluble drugs
  • Improve product stability
  • Improve product aesthetics and feel
  • Improve process parameters
  • Reduce manufacturing costs

Emulsifiers

Emulsifying bases are designed to allow the simple formulation of safe, effective and stable topical formulations from sprayable fluid emulsions to thick creams. Once selected, the process is simple - heat and mix with water.
