Huntsman's New Optimised Cycloaliphatic Amine Curing Agents

4/27/2012 10:40:00 AM

Huntsman launch alternatives to IPDA, PACM, MACM and 1,3 BAC

Huntsman's DCH-99 and XTA-801 offer a highly reactive low colour and low viscosity cycloaliphatic amine curing agents. Used in conjunction with Huntsman JEFFAMINE® Polyetheramine hardeners to produce superior adhesives, inks & coatings.

In curing agents Huntsman DCH-99 and XTA-801 provide an enhanced:

  • Strength
  • Toughness
  • Corrosion Resistance
  • Temperature Resistance

While providing a high reactivity at a low viscosity essential for optimising your processing.

Huntsman DCH-99 and XTA-801 work at their full potential when combined with Huntsman JEFFAMINE® Polyetheramine. For example Huntsman JEFFAMINE D230.

Applications for DCH-99 and XTA-801 are copious and include:

  • Adhesives
  • Flooring
  • Inks
  • Coatings
  • Composites

Two fundamental differences between Huntsman DCH-99 and XTA-801 are:

  • DCH-99 has primary functionality and is designed for use in raised temperatures. A suitable alternative to IPDA, PACM and MACM.
  • XTA-801 uses both primary and secondary functionality and is designed for use in low or ambient temperatures. A suitable alternative to IPDA and 1,3 BAC.
