Improve pigment wetting, lower viscosity and modify rheology with STEPANPOL PC-270-01

Acrylate and formulate STEPANPOL® PC-270-01 into energy-cure inks to achieve excellent pigment wetting, lower viscosity and modify rheology.

You can also formulate STEPANPOL® PC-270-01 into 2-K adhesives to improve adhesion because it imparts superior wetting on many different substrates.

STEPANPOL® PC-270-01 is a modified polyester polyol that can be acrylated and used in the grind and let-down phases of energy-cure inks.  Stepan have carried out extensive testing and comparisons with commercially available acrylates.  Acrylates made with STEPANPOL® PC-270-01 show:
  • Better overall performance in dispersions with lower functionality and viscosity
  • >35% pigment loading in UV dispersions without sacrificing yield stress and plastic viscosity
  • Excellent wet out which could reduce the dispersion agent use by 25%
