There are three variants in the LIM family. Fancorsil LIM 1 is water soluble, Fancosil LIM 2 is water insoluble and the Fancorsil LIM 3 water dispersible so whether the product is a shampoo or conditioner there is always a suitable Fancosil .

Meadowfoam Seed Oil is a natural cold pressed oil from Limnanthes Alba a small plant found in abundance in the north-western Pacific coastal region of the United States. It has a unique composition in that it contains a high concentration of long chain fatty acids with double bonds situated such that it is incredibly resistant to oxidative degradation. In addition it has a good skin feel and is non greasy and gives exceptionally mild conditioning and skin moisturization.
This unusual fatty acid profile has enabled Fancor (Elementis) to synthesise a range of novel functionally active cosmetic ingredients.
One such group of ingredients are the Fancorsil LIMs where the conditioning benefits of the Meadowfoam seed oil have been enhanced by the surface active properties of silicone to create products that effectively repair and prevent damage to the hair from thermal, chemical and mechanical stress and assist in the restoration of a physiologically correct oil:water balance in hair.
