Need chain extenders or low temperature curing? Huntsman JEFFAMINE’s have the answer

Slow down curing times with Jeffamine SD-2001, or speed them up with Jeffamine EDR-176

Require slower or faster reactions?  Huntsman developed JEFFAMINE SD-2001 a slower reactivity polyetheramines, useful as a chain extender in polyurea & polyurethanes, also for forming isocyanate prepolymers. JEFFAMINE EDR-176 is more reactive than standard polyetheramines which enables low temperature curing.

JEFFAMINE SD-2001 contains secondary amine groups which gives slower reactions then primary amine groups. Useful for chain extender properties required in polyurethanes and polyureas. JEFFAMINE SD-2001 can also be used as a curing agent/cross-linker in aliphatic and aromatic polyurethane and polyurea for adhesive, coating and elastomer applications.


JEFFAMINE EDR-176 provides excellent mechanical properties and impact & thermal shock resistance to cured resins. In epoxy coatings and floor systems JEFFAMINE® EDR-176 can be used for partial replacement of fast amine curatives e.g. TMD. It should be adducted to make it more useful in coatings since adducts improve the curing performance at lower temperatures.
