Update on DuPont Capstone products in relation to the US EPA 2010/15 PFOA Stewardship Program

To comply with US EPA TSCA requirements DuPontTM CapstoneTM repellents and surfactants are replacing the DuPont Zonyl Fluorosurfactants, Penetrating Sealers, Intermediates and Repellents.

DuPont and other fluorochemical manufacturers have been working voluntarily with the US EPA 2010/15 PFOA Stewardship Program for over 5 years to reduce PFOA emissions and content in products.

DuPontTM CapstoneTM have been evaluated under the EPA New Chemical Program and Consent Orders have been granted.  This means, because DuPontTM CapstoneTM repellents and surfactants are alternatives based on short-chain chemistry which means they can't break-down into PFOA in the environment.  This will give you peace of mind when formulating with these products.
