Cost-effective AMP alternative
11/10/2009 12:00:00 PM
Looking for a cost-effective alternative to APM? APMMEA-WB and APMMEA are used for a variety of water-based coatings. APMMEA-WB has a high boiling point and low vapour pressure which gives it a minimal VOC contribution.
Are you looking for an AMP alternative? We are pleased to introduce Huntsman's new cost-effective APMMEA-WB amine neutralisers to help you get the best out of your coatings.
APMMEA-WB
Huntsman's APMMEA-WB and APMMEA amine neutraliser provides optimum pH, emulsion stability and enhanced pigment dispersion, has low viscosity and is essentially colourless.
Easy to incorporate, APMMEA-WB is a cost effective drop-in alternative to neutralising agents, such as AMP, whilst maintaining or even increasing paint performance. Compared to AMP, APMMEA-WB gives better long term stability and is ideal for formulating lower odour paints.
Used for a variety of water-based coatings APMMEA-WB has a high boiling point and low vapour pressure which gives it a minimal VOC contribution. Product performance information comparing APMMEA-WB with an industrial standard is available on request.
APMMEA
Huntsman's APMMEA is a 100% version of APMMEA-WB with an amine content of 15meq/g, higher then AMP. When used as an alternative to AMP it results in a higher pH, higher paint viscosity and an improved thickening effect. APMMEA can help you reduce the level of other paint additives e.g. thickeners or dispersants in your formulation.
