ALFA now offer DuPont’s Elvanol® Polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) range in the UK and Ireland.

ALFA now offer DuPont’s Elvanol® Polyvinyl alcohol (PVOH) range in the UK and Ireland. Until recently DuPont manufactured Elvanol® Polyvinyl alcohol for in-house use, now a new supplier to the market they are keen to develop in this new market. We will be offering powder versions of the fully hydrolysed (>99%) grades and some speciality co-polymers e.g. with methylmethacrylate (MMA). Being powders will enable Elvanol® to be easily dispersed into the formulation.

Elvanol® is primarily used for its high film strength, excellent barrier properties and binding power in a diverse range of applications including water-based adhesives for paper, wood and textiles; photosensitive coatings, emulsifier and protective colloid in resin dispersions, pigment binders and ceramics.
