Medical Device Applications
Resomer® products can be used to manufacture a range of medical devices from orthopaedic implants to sutures. The different Resomer® products offer a range of degradation rates and mechanical strengths that enable medical devices to be precisely tailored to the requirements of the application. Unlike medical devices manufactured from other materials the Resomer® products can be designed in such a way that they degrade over time whilst maintaining mechanical strength for the period required for the application, negating the need to carry out a further surgical procedure to remove the implant once it has served its purpose.
