Drug Delivery Applications
Resomer® products can be used in drug delivery systems providing a biodegradable carrier for active pharmaceutical ingredients, such as PLGA microspheres. By selecting the appropriate Resomer® grade, drug delivery systems can be designed that release a controlled amount of drug over time. Several formulations are in clinical use that provide a therapeutic drug level to patients over periods of up to 4 months.
