Gattefossé lipid excipients provide straightforward solutions for the development of effective sustained release dosage forms. A sustained release dosage form can be created using lipid excipients to form either a water insoluble matrix or a hydrophobic film around an active drug. A range of formulation techniques are available including direct compression, solid dispersions, spray cooling and melt granulation that enable the development of a variety of sustained release dose forms including tablets, capsules, granules and pellets.
