Emulsifiers

An essential part of any cosmetic formulation, at a basic level, emulsifiers provide the interface between the oil and the water phases keeping them stable and preventing them from separating.  Moreover, they can give an emulsion its unique texture and skin feel from a light lotion to a heavy body butter.
