Morpholine and DIGLYCOLAMINE® Agent

Morpholine is a versatile product that can be used in numerous applications including

  • Neutralizing amine used to prevent carbonic acid corrosion in steam condensate systems,
  • Emulsifier for cosmetics, rubless waxes and polishes
  • Intermediate in the manufacture of a wide variety of products including optical brighteners for paper and laundry detergents, coatings to make paper glossy, pharmaceuticals and urethane catalysts.

DIGLYCOLAMINE® Agent is Huntsman's DGA® brand of 2-(2-aminoethoxy) ethanol which is used as a foam stabilizer, wetter, emulsifier and an amide in metalworking, personal care and electronics. 

DIGLYCOLAMINE® Agent is also used to remove carbon dioxide, hydrogen sulphide and carbonyl sulphide from natural gas, refinery gas, hydrocarbon liquids and other hydrocarbon streams.  It can also be used as a selective solvent for recovering aromatics from refinery streams.
