Surfactants

Surfactants are used to decrease the surface tension of the product they are used in.  Surfactants have many functions because of the many different chemical functional groups they can have.  Foaming agents, dispersants and emulsifiers suspend one product within another e.g. an oil droplet in water.  Solubilising is similar but the result is a system clear to the eye. 

Selecting a surfactant depends on the materials used, the other formulation ingredients and the desired end result.   We offer surfactants for coatings, metalworking products, cleaners, inks etc that act as emulsifiers, wetters, dispersants, detergents, solubiliser and many more.
