Chain Extenders

Chain extenders and cross-linkers are used to control the reaction and therefore the properties of the polymer.  They link polymer chains.  Generally used in elastomers, low density and high density foams with different flexibilities for coatings, bedding and insulation.

Product Group Description Manufacturer
APM N-aminopropylmorpholine (APM) is a highly reactive, low viscosity amine used as a reactive diluent in epoxy products; as a chain extender or crosslinking agent in resins and an accelerator for slower curing systems. Huntsman
JEFFAMINE® Polyetheramines Huntsman JEFFAMINE® Polyetheramines are extremely versatile products used to increase flexibility, toughness, hydrophilicity or hydrophobicity in coatings, epoxies, resins, elastomers, hot melt adhesives, composites. Huntsman
JEFFLINK® 754 Diamine Huntsman JEFFLINK® 754 Diamine is a chain extender for UV stable, aliphatic polyurea systems for coatings, adhesives and sealants. The product has low equivalent weight compared to other industry products, so you can use less. Huntsman
Struksilon Organofunctional silanes Schill + Seilacher Struksilon organofunctional silanes are used as adhesion promoters or coupling agents and for modifying inorganic or organic surfaces and as starting materials for chemical synthesis. Schill + Seilacher
Unilink Dorf Ketal Unilink aromatic diamines are chain extenders for polyurethane elastomers and effective curing agents for both TDI and MDI formulations. Dorf Ketal
