Better stain resistance and durability with New Capstone ST-500

Capstone ST-500 is DuPont's new high performance, most durable Capstone for Stone & Tile applications.

DuPont have launched Capstone ST-500, a new C6 technology, anionic fluorochemical.  Capstone ST-500 is now the most durable product DuPont offer for Stone & Tile applications, it has been shown to provide better stain resistance and durability when compared to competitor C8 technology products.  Capstone ST-500 can be formulated with other anionic ingredients, for example in sealers and paints.  

Capstone ST-500 is also launched as an alternative to:
  • Zonyl 329, withdrawn when DuPont moved to Capstone products based on new sustainable short-term technology, and 
  • Capstone ST-300 in spray applications.  
Zonyl 329 was DuPont’s most durable product for Stone & Tile applications, Capstone ST-500 now offers the best durability within DuPont’s Stone & Tile range.  Capstone ST-300 is brush or roller applied and not approved for use in spray applications whereas Capstone ST-500 is approved for spray applications.

Capstone ST-500 provides oil and water repellency, easy clean ability and stain resistance to impregnators for porous surfaces.
