Improve DPR and decrease formulation costs with Capstone® FS-81

Capstone® Fluorosurfactants used in architectural and decorative coatings can simplify formulations, improve performance and reduce formulation cost.  

Capstone® FS-81 is a multi-functional, easy-clean additive used to improve dirt pick-up resistance (DPR), oil repellency and washability in exterior and interior latex paints so common household stains are easier to remove and the surface stays looking cleaner for longer.

In low-VOC / VOC-free coatings the reduction in solvents has led to the need for functional additives to maintain performance.  Adding additional wetting agents, defoamers, levelling aids and anti-block agents to name a few, adds time onto developments and cost onto formulations as most serve one function e.g. a wetting agent or anti-block.  Capstone® FS-81 and other products in the range are multi-functional.  Extensive research carried out by DuPont™ shows using fluorosurfactants in the grind and let-down phases of formulations can reduce and in some cases eliminate the need for surfactant-based additives.  DuPont™ are offering to work with you to optimise your coatings with Capstone® Fluorosurfactants to obtain these benefits.
