Alfa Chemicals is pleased to offer our UK customers a NEW non palm-derived Organic glycerine.
Sourced from the nut oil of the Karanja tree, this glycerine is organically certified by Ecocert and is available in 75kg packs.

The Karanja tree (also known as the Pongamia, Honge or Panigrahi) is native to India but grows throughout the Indian subcontinent, as well as in Florida, Hawaii, Australia, Seychelles and parts of South East Asia.
The tree is remarkably adaptable, growing at altitudes of up to 1300m. It even tolerates rooting in salt water and limestone as well as very arid climates. It is an evergreen tree which reaches 15-18m in height, with pinkish white or lilac coloured flowers and pods containing a single reddish coloured oily nut.
